The route begins with a visit to the beautiful fortified village of Boragni built by the farmers of the area to protect themselves from the Saracen raids that often caused looting and violence even in the first hinterland. It is a very easy and panoramic loop itinerary characterised by many ups and downs. It crosses one of the most beautiful and wildest valleys in the Finale area, the Val di Nava, and then climbs up the crest that separates it from the Val Cornei reaching the town of Orco Feglino. The itinerary is made even more curious as it includes a visit to two caves: the “Grotta della Strapatente” and the “Grotta dei Balconi”. Both have large entrances and are accessible to everyone but it is recommended to use a headlamp or torch to observe the stalactites and stalagmites in formation inside.
