Short description of Itinerary

Pleasant and not very demanding ring that starts from the medieval village of Finalborgo. In the initial part of the route you walk along the "Strada Berretta" and meet the two main Castles of Finalborgo (Castel San Giovanni and Castel Gavone), while in the last stretch the Renaissance Church of Our Lady of Loreto better known as the Church of the Five Bell towers is also worth a visit. But the real jewel of the route is the beautiful Grotta dell'Edera. It is a large open-air rocky cylinder 35 meters high and with a diameter of 20 meters, whose walls are among the most popular in sport climbing, a true "temple" for climbers from all over the world. The only note out of tune is the access: to get to the base of the great well, you have to walk along a steep and slippery wall about three meters high equipped with fixed ropes and quite dark, so you need a good dose of courage and headlamp.

La Grotta dell'Edera (The Ivy Cave)
The Ivy Cave is a Finalese wonder. It takes its name from the ivy leaves that once covered the interior and exterior of its walls.
