Easy itinerary with a short and panoramic loop recently made accessible and fully signposted by the CAI of Finale Ligure. The path partly follows the route of the old roads used by quarrymen to transport the blocks extracted from the numerous quarries that opened in the Verezzi territory towards Borgio. For this purpose, special wagons were used, called "Matti" (Mad) for their particular shape, from which the itinerary takes its name. It is also worth visiting the Cava Vecchia, one of the few quarries in Finale Stone cultivated in a tunnel and the Grotta dell'Antenna (Aerial cave) with its unique lock shaped entrance.
